I probably need to start this post off with some kind of warning. What kind of warning, I’m not totally sure. All I can say is that you might need some tissues, a puppy to snuggle with after you finish reading, a friend’s shoulder to cry on, or it just might inspire you to call your significant other and ask when the two of you are getting married. With that said, let’s get on with it. Two weeks ago I received a phone call from my friend Michael Bolton. I’m not trying to name drop here, this is actually a different man with the same name as the singer, but he’s actually probably a thousand times better than the original. Why? He called me and told me he was going to propose to THE Katie Kilcoyne. Katie is not just your typical girl. She is like dream girl material. I met her through our sorority in 2010 and I immediately wanted to be just like her. She’s so funny and full of life and always so nice to everyone around her. You will always be in a better mood after being around her. She’s truly the closest thing that Alabama has to Beyonce. She is #flawless without even trying — everyone wishes they were her best friend, her hair always looks like an angel came down from Heaven and does it for her every morning, and I’m pretty certain every time she laughs a baby is born somewhere around the world. These two wonderful people have been dating for seven years. These two precious people met in eighth grade and then dated throughout high school and college. So not only are they soul mates, they’re best friends.
So now you’ve seen these photos I stole off their facebook profiles and you are probably asking yourself, can it even get any better than this?! And the answer is YES because they’re getting married and they will get to be together forever and ever amen.
I really don’t even know if I can find enough words to describe how wonderful January 29, 2015 was. I think I’ll just get to the pictures and let those do the talking. All I can say is that while I was hiding waiting for Katie and Michael to come out onto this courtyard where he popped the question, I just knew it would be a night I would never forget. Thank you so much to Michael and Katie and their families and friends that included me on such a special night. Congratulations again, I am so happy for the soon to be Boltons!
