My favorite older sister Mary Margaret and her wonderful husband Kenny had their first child, John Barrett Byrd, on June 19th. The past 5 months have absolutely flown by, and I genuinely have no idea how this baby already looks so grown up and is just so stunningly beautiful. With health scares during delivery and recovery problems in the months that followed, it’s an understatement to say that this summer has been a very difficult chapter for my Maggie and my Kenny. They have handled every single thing that has come their way with such grace and maturity. They are warriors and genuinely just some of the best people you will ever know.

I love these photos because I see so much of God’s grace for our family displayed so clearly. On days when it seems like all hope is lost, we have to trust in the fact that although we can’t see it, He is constantly working things out for our good. The Lord is faithful and He can always be trusted. The smiles you are about to see on these faces are pure JOY my friends. He brought us through the valley and we give all the glory to Him.
